I've acquired an older planer / thickneser that I only intend to use as a planer.

Would it be okay do you think to remove the drive belts for the feed rollers for the thicknesser?

They are worn and need replacing anyway but as I'm never going to use it as a thickenesser it seems a bit pointless to replace them.

Thanks

It should be fine to run without the power feed, just make a note of the belt size and write it somewhere inside the machine should you ever decide to get new belts for it and accidentally misplace the original ones you or someone whos buys it off you know which ones to order.
