Been offered to buy these for 70 euros + 7 euros shipping. It's two records and one stanley, I believe the rebate plane is the stanley. Do you think they're worth the price? Is there any way to date them from the picture?

Very little information to be gleaned from the picture. Smaller bench plane looks to be a #5, larger a #7.

All totes and knobs appear to be beech, so not from the early "rosewood" period.

Rebate plane is a Stanley #78, missing both fence and depth stop.

We might break down the circa €80 (incl postage) as

#7 €45
#5 €20
#78 €15

Those prices aren't a bargain, but they're "OK".

I got some more pictures, more planes than are being sold pictures but one can see which 3 are the ones for sale:

E: Largest says Kunz, so not a Stanley or Record! I have heard of that brand but it hasn't been good.

Well, the good news is that the large one appears to be a (rarer) #8 as opposed to a #7.

The bad news is that the lever cap says Kunz, and unfamiliar (to me) iron shape and knob shape imply
strongly that the whole plane is Kunz.

Kunz is not well thought of.

Further, the Record iron has the later "round corners", so it's a later (still "OK") model.

And the #78 has parts missing.

Unless you REALLY need each of those particular tools/sizes, I'm tending towards the "no"
side of yes/no.

The rebate plane was the most interesting plane to me. I have a Stanley No.3 I get a lot done with (and a swedish no.3 sized plane thats in pieces) and a power planer/thicknesser. The large plane is the one I need the least, I even have a wooden jointer.

I was imagening the rebate plane would be good for, well rebates, and cleaning up rebates I make on the table saw, similarly I was looking for a router plane todo the same with dadoes and the like.
