I am trying to repair a puschair (side by side twin) and need to bend a length of steel pipe as a brace between the two rear "legs".

I have been lent a pipe bender, (two long levers and some curved wheels and guides for different size pipes). This works really well.

The problem I am having is insuring that my right angle bends are at a specified distance apart. Any ideas how I can achieve this? Trial and error last night got to me within about 1/4" but there is not that much play in the pushchair frame.

The best I can offer is what you are already doing trial and error.
When you have one side bent hold the pipe up to the pushchair and try to judge where the bend will start and how the bender will react then bend.

Hope this helps
