be careful when a caller asks you for your postcode and address. It could have been part of a scam to get your details to go woth your phone number. Better ask them where they intend to deliver the item to.

.....................................so she tell;s me my post code and address ..............

About 4 years ago, a friend who has a house in Casteljaloux kindly offered to let us use it. We entered the "postcode" in the SatNav. which then took us straight to the front door of a house. Sadly, it was not his house, and it was a good 15 kM from his house.
I don't think the French have got the hang of postal codes yet...

We have a house name and no street name ....... Try entering that in a pedantic (usually government) web form!

I've read that in England a post code and house number is sufficient for accurate delivery.
As an aside, do you know the Canadian postal code for Santa Claus?

What if you don't have a number?

H0H 0H0 :D (where is that smartalec emoticon)

On the French comment above - the village in which my sister has a house has no numbers / street names, but the post manages to deliver to about 20 houses there with no trouble :D

They seem to work quite well though. Our address covers 4 lines

Name
no and street
post code and village/town
France

Can't be bad as our U.K. address had 7 lines in it
Not always the case.

I've just sent a parcel to France and the complex address wouldn't fit on my standard labels without using the tiniest font.

I took pity on postie's eyes and used a much larger non-standard label. :)

Our house also has a name but no number, and is on an un-named road. We share a post code with 2 other properties, and have not found any problems. We are usually able to find our way home, with or without the sat nav !!

But seriously, - so you have your new toy AT LAST Mock. I hope it lives up to your expectations. If you are disappointed with it and want to swap, I have a nice Startrite 351 here you may be interested in. !!!
