These three are for a friend who is the Ladies Captain of a golf club.
She was photographed by me, then the pics were embedded in clear cast resin then turned.

a nice range and good examples there John

personally I like the Sierra lines, and simplicity, and use it for most of my pen work, really like the accents you have added and wood used - simple but classic look.

the lignum vitae and maple burr pens also look stunning to my eye; but I am sure the rest are too.

thanks for showing

An excellent set, I particularly like the smooth lines of the Sierras, the quality of joint transition match adds to the perfection of finish.

Full marks for the effort with the photo' casting.

hi john
love all the pens =D>
the ebony ,anjan, murtle burr and red mallee are stunning
but my favourite would have to be the lignum vitae :D
thanks for sharing them with us all.
cheers

I found that LV ball the other day while looking for something to possibly make a couple of wedding rings from (inspired from a previous post here) and it made me chuckle, both on price and the following comment:

"maybe the start of a finger hole for a bowling ball"

I wonder if we could fuse Crown Green and 10 Pin together? nooo, maybe not, doesnt bare thinking about.

:D

hi johnB,
out of curiosity how many 'pens' would you get out of a well used bowl(ing ball)? (hammer)
and, if its not giving away too many trade secrets, what is your preferred method of pen finishing :?:

Really nice pens.

I think the golf one is an excellent one for a gift.
I'm in to pens myself.... just cant seem to take good pictures of them!
My partner took one to work one day..... i've now got my 12th order from it!!

Nev... I've recently mastered the CA and BLO finish and made a pen that made my ... been woodturning for 30yrs neighbour gasp! =D> :D
