Curious as to why so many turners by a lovely smock then absolutely cover it in sew-on patches? Is it a youtube thing, an 'advertise your company here' type of thing? Or are they all former boy-scouts? I think we should be told. More importantly, will they make me a more accompished woodturner? Right now I'll take any help I can get!

My 'smock' is a six quid drivers jacket I bought off ebay many years ago. Works for me :mrgreen:

on cold days i quite like leather.....
have longish zip to the neck jacket...
plenty warm enough and the chips just fall off.......
