I am a keen DIYer especially on the woodwork side. I would like to take this further and enroll in a part time (pref during the day) course in general woodworking, bench joinery or routing. I have looked at all of the local colleges but cant find anything. I live in Watford so NW London, Herts, Berks or Beds would be great. Many thanks.

Up the proverbial creek
Welcome to the forum, John. I'm sure if there's one available, someone will know. Seems courses in the wonderful world of public sector education tend to be in the evening, but IIRC I have heard of "mature students" enrolling in HND courses and the like but going to them on a much more flexible basis than the bright, young things aiming for a career, which might be a possibility? Other than that there are lots of private courses run all over the country, for a price... Or maybe you can hook up with a member here who might feel brave enough to dabble in some light instruction. :D

Cheers, Alf
