I am going to be making some stormproof style windows for a barn conversion and not really sure what I need in locks for them to comply with part Q of building regs?

I do use friction hinges and put a euro groove round sashes but till now have just generally used a traditional stay and fastener.

Do I need some sort of shoot bolt or multi locking system like this

https://www.reddiseals.com/product/nico ... ng-system/

I will also be making the external doors, what is required for them, I see things like spy holes, opening restrictors and small panels mentioned?

I am speaking to the building inspector tomorrow but thought I would run it past the knowledgeable people on here first, any advice appreciated.

Doug
