I will find myself in Bristol on Friday morning, hoping to go to Bristol Design.
Whats the parking situation around there?
On Street, multi storey, bomb site, it's only for a car, probably less than an hour.

Thanks Bod

When I went we parked round the corner from the shop up a steep hill. Might need more than an hour, lots to see and touch

Great information.
Thanks

(Who will have very limited funds with him!)

If you park on a meter you will need to decide your time in advance, which can be stressful if you want to stay longer. The nearby Trenchard Street multi storey is pay on exit, so can be a better option. Parking in Bristol is not cheap, and can surprise some visitors!

Also, remember that the shop does not accept plastic for purchases.

The nearest cash point is in the foyer of the hospital, Bristol Royal Infirmary, which is only 5 mins walk.

Dependant on what you need to do in Bristol the park and ride options may be viable, it's our normal access choice but we do have easy route to the one near the M5 and free Bus travel.

The climb up the hill from the central drop off point might justify any expenditure on the basis that you have already done the penance.

I'd ring to check that they are open for your visit - I got caught out once sadly.

I agree with AndyT.
I park in the Trenchard Street Car Park when I am in that area of the city. I think it's Bristol City owned, not NCP, and it is a much more reasonable price. I've never had any problems finding a place.
www bristol gov uk is saying 1 hour: £1, 2 hours: £2, 3 hours: £3, 4 hours: £5, Over 4 hours: £10. I won't guarantee that that is correct, although it seems likely.
They give the address as BS1 5AN, i.e. on Trenchard Street, but I drive down Lodge Street, which is a steep, down-hill cobbled road off Park Row. Half way down Lodge Street there is an entrance to the carpark on the right hand side.
Bristol Design is about 300m away.
