Is that 9 days to paint a window?
Or does the second/third coat dry faster than 3 days!!!

You'd do a whole house in 9 days. But you have to phase linseed oil paint to give it time to dry which isn't a problem if you have a bit of a schedule.
That is basically what the trade off is between modern and linseed paints. Modern stuff is quick drying and gives a bright shiny colourful finish but doesn't last very long. Linseed oil paint the opposite.
