Ostrich omelette

Emilio Benericetti, is a fantastic cook who offered a giant omelette for 12 persons. He cut this ostrich egg with the Dremel tool. After cleaning it he tuned two rings which fit one in another as the liaison between the box and the lid.
The wood is walnut, the finish a mix of beeswax and carnauba

Oddly enough when I was looking at your post I was munching on some Ostrich Pepperoni Sausage.

A nice turning. Do you think the eggshells are true enough in form to use a rose engine to make pierced patterns in the shell?

I used to know someone who made pierced patterns in eggshells. IIRC she used razor saws and very fine files.
