I’m using OSB (because I already have it) in an area where it might get water splashed on it so want to protect it. Would lining it in a waterproof sheet be practical? I’d take the lining over and under the edges.

Is this indoors or outdoors? Will the protective sheet degrade in the UV of sunlight? Paint might be sufficient, depending on the situation.

OSB is pretty waterproof to start with, it depends on the situation but I have seen OSB used outside with nothing on it at all and lasts for years, it does go gray after a few years of course. Ian

I never stood outside for years with nothing ono_Obut I still went grey:LOL:
The odd splash of water should be no problem as long as it doesn't pool for long periods, what will it be used for ?

I'm making a platform for a shower tray.
Oh - yes, it will get wet. OSB3 is pretty good. I'd give it a couple of coats of polyeurethane varnish and use 'defensive detailing' to keep water out, and to let the timber dry efficiently when that doesn't work.
