ORTAN wood lathe

Hi all,
Hope I don't fall foul of the Mods again!!!, is this the right place to post this question??????
I recently put a for sale add of the lathe I had for sale. I said it was an Orian, it is in fact an Ortan wood lathe , Has anyone on here got one and know any of the history of Ortans ?

Many thanks for the link A great help, as I too, looked on Tony Griffiths Site www lathes co uk and could find no mention of it

well there are a few about

apparently they are 1" x 8 TPI spindle nose and No2 MT in the tailstock, very well made. 27" between centres and can turn an 8" bowl.

If you have any more trouble from the Mods, just call for the Rockers
