Not sure this will generate any interest. Beyond my price range but I thought it ought to be shared in case it's the sort of thing someone would want and might find useful. Useful and lovely I think personally. At £40 not a bank breaker for lots of people.

This is a nice Edward Preston shave....... I have some and they work very well indeed.

Preston were taken over by C J Hampton (record) about 1932, but in the main their tools are very well regarded and not scarce, though some command eye-watering prices - the big routers, for example.

This site 'reconditions' old tools, mainly to make them look nice, but this type of shave crops up regularly on auction sites at about £25, so, £35 is the full-on retail price, I think.

But, it depends on where you are. That tool would probably sell for much more in the States, for example......
