Don't worry about the maths - just use the method.

Yes that'd work if you can find two 10ft straight edges and some means of joining them at 1.432º making a 20ft bevel, and a big enough workshop to operate it in i.e. at least 30ft required. It might take 4 or 5 people to help you manhandle it.

To be realistic a 1.5" height arch at 10ft long would be barely noticeable and somewhat pointless, unless there is another non-visual reason for it.
