hello folks

what with one thing or another its been a couple of months since i've done any hollow forms or vase's
here's my first effort of getting back into the swing of things!!

the initial blank was 13" long and about 7 1/2" square- mounted between centres

i've removed it from between centres now and have it held on a 6" faceplate

oh dear- I was going to make a much taller piece but I might have to change my plans to avoid this!!

I use lemon oil as a finish until the wood is dry then I will finish it with woodoc 10

I used a proxon carver with a flex cut v gouge to do the neck detail
 
Lovely turning George ,I thought for a while we were going to see the Watkins secret , :)

Pity you forgot the pictures maybe next time . :lol: :lol:
