I am trying to match up some new oak panelling to the existing ones which were built in the 1930's (largish hallway).
I was wondering what sought of materials were around then?
The panels are medium to dark oak, so must have been stained and covered in some sort of varnish?
I am thinking of maybe using Van Dyke to colour match, then probably PU - I cannot think the likes of Osmo etc were around then?
