Offset knife hinges

I've a project coming up for which some offset pivot hinges would be nice to use; eg http://www.johnlloydfinefurniture.co.uk ... ges-brass/

But £25 a pair ??? Does anyone know of a UK or European manufacturer of this type of hinge that might be as well made, but kinder to the budget ?

That price isn't too bad for Brusso.

Also try looking for knife hinges, it might help with searches.

Thanks, but I started with 'knife hinge' as a search term and got nowhere :-(

It's odd as I'd never thought of this type of hinge as American, but Brusso seem to be the only manufacturer I can find.
Maybe there's another manufacturer elsewhere in the non-English speaking world, but searching for something in a foreign language when you don't know what they might be called is pretty futile.

I guess it's either change the design or bite the bullet and stump up for the Brusso ones.

Well the Rutlands stuff is just Brusso at maximum profit.

Apart from that, I've tried most associated search terms with little luck. It seems there's a manufacturer of something similar in India that one UK retailers sells, but the price is so close to the genuine Brusso part it's not worth considering. Other than that it's Brusso or nothing
