You need one of those deli counter ticket thingies ............... and don't forget security, those northern folk can get a bit rowdy especially if they feel they haven't got their monies worth. Refreshments ... maybe you could have it as a gala dinner night.

We are thinking of doing it outside with a big back projection screen so that people in the next field can see it. Security and crowd control might be an issue - judging by the last one they'll go ape-dung over freehand dovetails. Wouldn't want them to get too over excited, with chisels in their hands

Now your getting it .............. take it global ............ this could be the next Glastonbury :D

Jacob and the Hollow Stones?

If I'm honest, it sounds a bit more 'Titfield Thunderbolt' than 'Taylor Swift'. The groupies might a bit more 'blue rinse' than 'rock chick'.

JC is looking for a new job so maybe he can learn how to pontificate on the subject of sharpening and join his mate. Not much of a leap really wouldn't take him long to be an expert

Don't know why I've never thought of this before but I've just cleaned the ends of my older Norton Combi stone to reveal "Norton No 0 Combination" and "Fine".
So that explains the IB8 being coarser at 400 grit (according to another site). This means the Norton "Fine" must be 600 ish - in other words good enough for almost everything (which I'd worked out anyway).
Now I know.
