No.8 Aquired

I purchased a decent No.8 (Made In U.S.A.) just like I have wanted for some time at the South East Show at the weekend.
They had an old tools stand, I could have spent a fortune but had my eldest daughter with me acting as my conscience, kept saying "mummy will kill you".
Any way I think this is a call to Jim, I have been searching for a thread I read not so long ago of a repair made to the top of the rear tote very similar to the damage on my No.8.
I think it was Jim's, I can't find it need a link or pointing in the correct direction.
If it wasn't Jim maybe the owner could point my way.

I have done a number of repairs on handles...the other was on the Robert Sorby backsaw...but it's the same procedure.

It is a large chip, on the top of the rear tote.
