Now i realise this has been around for a while, Peleș Castle (1873), so many of you may have seen it previously, however, it just came up in a thread elsewhere, so i thought i would repost -

Lots and lots of hours, like several man-years, figure on 3 to 5 days of hand-carving for each cherub, about the same for each stair "spindle", and those are the simple little quick pieces, the rest is much more time consuming....and the rest of the room is decorated in all sorts of carved work as well. Thanks for posting, really loved this.
