Hello all,

Have just joined and thought I'd better drop in and say hello to you all.
I'm a self confessed serial bodger who loves to make stuff from wood, recent projects have been learning to build split cane fishing rods and building a 5 string banjo and currently refinishing a gun stock. These projects have involved a lot of jig and tool making which I find as rewarding as the actual make itself but I'd like to improve my skills and make better jigs etc to improve the end product, so am hoping to tap into some knowledge here.

Looking forward to seeing you all around the forum

Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve, Welcome and all that. You have an interesting collection of recent projects there, clearly a chap who likes a challenge, and an opportunity to learn.

Welcome to the forum, I can empathise with that philosophy, often the solving of the how is as rewarding as the completion, especially when the solution removes the frustration of personal skills limitations.

Welcome Steve
You will me amazed at the tremendous amount of talent you will find here. Start by using the search button for any of your queries, and if you can't find what you want that way, there are bound to be folks on here that can help.

Good luck

Hi Steve,

Welcome.

Excluding myself there are lots of guys on this forum who are extremely knowledgeable and willing to give good advice.

That's a relief - I thought I might be a bit odd

Thanks for all the welcomes so far.

Cheers
Alex
