I've not seen or heard of anyone wearing gloves when using one - you'd have to be a fool of the highest order to get your hands near the moving parts.

Cutting with the rotation of the router bit with very little actual grip on the tool, nasty cut caused in less than a second.

I was thinking of a full sized router - I've not seen anyone ever attempt to use one with hand, so the hands will never be near the cutter. I have no experience or knowledge of little trimmers etc.

Axminster on youtube have just started a weekly routing wednesday video tutorial. Think they're going over all the basics as part of their skill centre at home series. May be worth a look.

Got my triton 1/2" in a table and it works a treat.
