11) What do you put in a Candelabrum!

Humpty Dumpty. Haven't these numpties ever heard of a dictionary?

(I watch it because SWIMBO likes it!) That's my excuse and I stick to it! LoL!

PS. Catgut actually comes from sheep or goats, but can come from other CAT(tle). Ooops. I checked the wrong, correct answer!

I only got three right. I knew the hundred years war one. Thanks to the Kings Speech for question 7. My dad was a plane spotter and when you have been to museums enough times, the black box thing becomes lodged firmly in your memory.

I didn't know the purple finch was crimson, I knew the rest - it comes of decades of pub quizes and a memory that retains information in inverse value to its usefulness. If you gave me a 'phone no. that would save my life this afternoon, I'd have forgotten it by noon.

Isn't a Camel's hair brush what you brush a camel with?

Pete

Hmm - I knew the catgut one, the black box one, and that Goerge was actually Albert. I also knew that a Purple finch wasn't purple, but thought it was red rather than crimson.

Canary islands in the Pacific I think not #-o

I actually noticed that after I'd posted and thought about editing but wondered if anyone would pick it up (always one clever dick    )
Well spotted webby =D>
I didn't write any of that btw. received in an email from USA (that's probably why the geography was wrong). Thought it was amusing enough to share.

I've passed on to a number of other people and so far webby is the only person to have noticed that the Canaries location is wrong.
