Firstly, Hi I'm completely new to this forum and woodworking forums generally, so hello from me.
So here it is, concrete sectional garage circa 1970, structurally sound and now after some minor repairs to the roof and fillets watertight but mildly damp base due to lack of DPC when original slab was laid.
Im going to insulate fully inside using celotex and framing add barn doors and clad the exterior, the only real issue is the DPC on the floor once this is laid i'll need to put fixings through it to secure the battens for the flooring and the side rails for the framing, this means i'll be punching quite a few holes through, I would think making it pointless...any ideas how the dpc can be laid intact when you need to fix wood to the floor?
Any help, advice, previous experience, words of wisdom greatly appreciated...
Thanks,
Steve
