Hi all,
I was given some new drill bits for my birthday, But for some reason they won't fit in my
cordless drill, these new drill bits are hex at the end and not round

Do i need an adapter ?

Thank you in advance

Sounds like hds drill bits .Slotted Drive System or Slotted Drive Shaft. You might be able to get an adaptor for your drill.

I have auger bits, that are large hex. They just about fit in my cordless drill at the maximum opening. A picture will really help here.

Yes predictive text lol

Yeah, I thought a hex end was designed if anything to be a better grip in a standard drill, as there are flat faces to grip to rather than a smooth shank that could spin loose. I think you need to post some pictures
