24 ½” jointer finally done

My goodness how time flies when your busy…full stage by stage pics
Will be in GWW in a few issues time.

I am going to make a full range of planes for myself from scratch as I
Have got the hang of it.

If you think flatteneing a no 5 sole was hard try one of these.

I spent around 100 hours on this (whole project not flattening)

I have got files..rasps....hacksaws ands blades...belt disc sander...emery cloth..bench pillar drill and one pair of very sore arms.

Neil....the blade comes with the kit which is almost square and just out the furnace, a bit of shaping and flattening to my own design.... as you do with a kit ..similar with the chip breaker ..the front bun etc...

just a bit of fun...i saw wayne andersons half back saw from a recent link and fancy making one for the cupboard...making your own tools is very
satisfying i'll see what this year brings
