Well slowly my Quangsheng family is growing - meet the latest arrival to join its far eastern siblings

Its the stainless steel spoke shave and I have got to say well impressed!

The overall finish is very fine and the blade only required a few passes on a diamond stone to produce a razor sharp edge.

Trial cuts taken on some off cut cherry from the dresser resulted in lovely long ribbons from the cuts

10/10 Say no more!

I'm not very familiar with spokeshaves - what do you primarily use them for - apart from fine shavings?

Very nice dodge have been looking at those for some time the metal always makes me think poor quality.

Jen spokeshaves have lots of uses. One that comes to mind is there use in shaping leg stock e.g chamfering and curves. THe name comes from wheel making a similar tool would make a riven piece of timber into a roundish piece to become a spoke.
