Weather permitting I will start on the workshop roof replacement on Wednesday.

I shall endeavour to pull each nail and salvage the current covering for sale.

Does anyone have a recommendation of type or make of bar to use.?

priory type . I have one made by bahco. but very good at pulling heads out. Good crowbar as well. you'll probably find once you have the first sheet off you can lever against the rafters below and then bash out nails from behind then use claw hammer.
Have fun
Danny

The older type of nail/pry bar are not as good as the newer flatter types around, for de-nailing as the newer type spread the potential load/damage area when extracting the nails, but possibly not as good for outright levering and wrecking use, as the oldies.
So I use both, best of both worlds.
1 in each hand! after a plateful of Marmite sandwhiches, unstopable!
