next object neeing identification, again came with a Coronet major that has all of the attachments. but what is it, my first thoughts were that had something to do with the wobble saw but the blades are too loose to be a measuring gauge of any sort. The handle is approx 9" long and looks like it may be intended to us hand held.

there are 4 tangs each side all the same thickness and the top of each is beveled at 45 degrees with a tiny hook at the bottom of the slope as though the cutter stopped too short.
So what is it please

Definitely anti kickback fingers for a Dewalt Radial Arm Saw - have exactly the same one in my workshop - Mounts into rear of blade cover and is designed for use when the blade is swung round and used for ripping boards - Probably the most dangerous procedure to carry out with a saw of this type IMHO and to be avoided.

Thanks guys, never seen one before. I wonder if it had ever been used on the coronet, or just left behind in one of the boxes of oddments.

Another couple of mystery objects for you all. Our elderly neighbour and his wife have both died in the last couple of years, and their daughter passed on various items from their garage "in case they were useful". Two things that are puzzling. One is what looks like a set of three vice lead screws, but they don't have anywhere for a cross handle. They are 5/8" diameter, with an Acme type thread of 4tpi, and a short length of what is probably 5/16"BSF thread on one end, a hex (spanner type) head on the other:-

The other item is the two bolts shown with it; they have a round slotted head and most of the shank is threaded about 1/4" Whit pitch, but with a form closer to Acme. The 1/4" or so nearest the head has a slightly larger, Whitworth form/pitch LEFT HAND thread. Weird.
The only other clue might be that the neighbours were both artists - he lectured in art at Aberdeen college, she painted.

Good suggestion the window opener - must have a look at some of the local Victorian conservatories and see if they are missing three of these :D
That's an interesting thought about wing nuts, but if it was, why the screwdriver slot in the head?

So you can install it?
