Hi All,

I've fallen heir to a qty of dust filter socks and I'm trying to work out what they're for.

There's small ones and big ones (oh, yes, getting technical now!).

I don't have a fancy bag extractor but I might consider one if I can maybe use the bigger of the two bags with it.

The small ones are 40ish inches long by 2 1/2 dia. (1035 x 65)

The big ones are 63ish inches by 8 1/2 dia. (1600 x 215)

Cheers,

It depends on what you're doing, if all you do is sanding and creating extraordinarily fine dust they would work well as they allow a massive amount of air-flow, but if you're dealing with wood chip from planers and such they will fill up and clog within a couple of minutes.

They look rather small for dust extractor work, I suspect they are for filtering liquids such as oil.
