got this off the net for £12 pretty pleased with it :mrgreen:

the more observant of you will notice the missing knob, this just needs re-araldite-ing back on, any ideas of age?

this was the rather sweet homemade box for the cutters there seems to be about 19 there its not missing to many bits though. as far as i can tell all the knobs and screws are on the plane

excellent by what this is saying its about 100 years old :shock:

Types 7-8: (1896-1908)
Still has floral pattern on body. Minor fence trademark differences between types 7 & 8. Cam added about 1902. (type 8 shown)

Superb bargain Chris!

I paid about £30 for a one at a bootfair and got a lot of money for it on FleaBay....wish I had kept it sometimes!

Mine was a later Sweetheart though....

If you want to know if all the cutters are there....knock yourself out mate...

Like they said, well done, that was a very good buy. I have the almost identical Record 405 which I really like - but it doesn't have the floral decoration on it!
Yours is a good collectable, but also a good user - the best combination! (See what I did there?) :wink:
