A while ago i admitted defeat. Instead of lumping around a nice wooden toolbox I opted to use the dewalt tool box system instead. It's on wheels, split into 3 lighter boxes and means I no longer have to struggle.
Only thing that wouldn't fit in the box was my 800mm spirit level and several handsaws.

Tuther day I was looking at the loose pile of handsaws and decided I should get a case for them to make life easier on site -

It ticks all the boxes for me, even the colour matches the boxes

£16 delivered I thought was quite reasonable. Loads of em from various sellers on ebay - Search 85cm gun case ;)

Nice - hadn't thought of using a gun case before
It was the padding I thought might help protect the level.
Took it out on site last week. I'm really pleased with it ! I've put a couple flush cut saws in the smaller pocket, and a selection of sandpaper in the other smaller ones.
Only thing that's missing is a crowbar that'll fit in my box..... or I just start making things the right size so they don't need jemmying in [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

A good idea - I have used my jap saw bag to take a level and site saws to site, but for just £16 this has to be a better solution.
