When I went to pick up my paper a couple of days ago from our local Spar shop there was a notice in the window asking people to look out for a Japanese chin dog, Black and white lost on the beach at Black rock sands.

Today when again I went for my paper there was a little black and white dog running around on the car park and although I know nothing about dogs I thought it looked like this could be the one.

I took him back home phoned the number on the poster, and the reunion was a sight to behold, made my day. :D :D :D

I would think it's the good deed for the week! =D> =D> =D>
A nice story and a happy outcome, I can just imagine the noise leaping about and was just the owners!
Poor little chap out on his own for two days!
Regards Rodders

Should've sent a ransom note first

Seriously though, nice one =D>

Can never understand when a dog runs away from the owner.

Something badly wrong.

Well there is the quote "no such thing as a bad dog, just a bad owner".
Seeing some of the owners around here I'd run away

some breeds run due to being in hunting mode. and if they see something then off they go. doesnt matter how well trained they are a dog will follow its nature occasionaly

I once lost my ex when we went to the TT...... some bugger found her brought her back grrrrrrrrrr well done and love a happy ending.

Artie.

Up to a point, I agree, but there's such a thing as a certain smell, that sends dogs crazy. That's when they tend to scarper with but one thing on the mind.
They can also go looking for the owner, when said owner has to leave the dog at home, and the dog manages to get out. It takes time and paitence for a dog to know it can trust the owner to return.

Nice one Alan. One happy owner and dog!

Cheers

Apparently the dog didn't belong to the lady who collected it but to her friends who were visiting her for a weeks holiday. They had gone to the beach (only about 300 yards from where they were staying) along with 3 other dogs. They were having a paddle while the dogs ran around in the sands when they realised one was missing. They scoured the beach without finding it for the next five days and had almost given up when I happened to find him.
The owners came to see me later with a nice bottle of wine and flowers for the wife. I've been away to my daughters and arriving home a couple of hours ago I had a letter in the post thanking me and saying buy yourself some wood and enclosing £100   so my good deed for the day turned out to be my lucky day :D :D
