I made this little bowl this morning boy was it good to be back in action I dont know what the wood is apart from it being a burr it is one of the bits Doug dropped of for me last week so thanks again mate so far it has had 1 coat of teak oil still waiting for my grinder to be delivered chisels are getting quite blunt but I couldn't resist doing it

Burr Wood whittled with blunted tools, not bad I'd say, glad you are able to get back in the shed.

Looks like you've lost non of your touch Woody, lovely piece.

The wood is horse chestnut burr & came from Dunham, near the toll bridge.

Yes mate, I grabbed a truck full when I had the chance 4 or 5 years ago, still have a fair amount left even though I've given quite a bit away.

I have finished the bowl at last 4 coats of teak oil de-nibbed between coats
