Hi all , this is my first posting, so to introduce myself l will show my latest finished project. It’s actually made from surplus pieces from a previous project which had a big influence on the design of the chair . Also in the video you can see a previous oak floor project , 43M.sq. of waney edge jointed boards. That was quite a slow process!!

Steep learning curve as this was my first project involving upholstery and leather stitching, a little nerve racking cutting up an expensive hide

Conventional chair castors were not an option, I didn’t want it on ‘stalks’ ! Photos include pics of the low profile castors I engineered. The spring steel under the legs pre loads to about 25kg to take the strain off the joints where they meet the central section. It is height adjustable by 65mm. The oak was steam bent . These were all test bends for another project

Great chair and the leather work is also good.
I also like the floor. I can see why that took a long time but the result looks worth it.
Regards
John

Really nice job. The leatherwork sets of the chair nicely.

The legs look amazing, how did you make them? are they steam bent or laminated or something else?

Any more photos of the build process, I would be really interested to see them.
Cheers David

Thanks for the comments , just checking I am adding photos
Correctly as photos above of the underside all say ‘0’ views ?

They say 0 views until someone clicks a picture to zoom in, then it'll say one
I like the little birdsmouth on the back slats where it joins the seat 👍
Good job
