I have just been upgraded from Office 2002 to Office 2003 and I can no longer get Windows Explorer to display files as thumbnails. I have tried associating the images with all the available applications but the jpeg files will not display as thumbnails (bmp files are OK).

We have had a look around the MS support sites without luck.

My desktop support guys are stumped and there is only so much time they can spend on my non-work related activities

Any ideas anyone?

I lost this on my PC as well - and have never tracked down a solution.

Since my earlier post I found that if I renamed the file extension to jpe or jpeg the thumbnails appear. I've checked the file name associations and they all look the same.

Just out of curiosity with Explorer are you still able to save both .bmps AND .jpegs? If you can only save .bmps then it may be linked to your problem and if so then I might have a fix.
