Mount Cutter to cut Intricate letters

Hi All, I have read your reviews on Mount Cutters. I am trying to experiment with mount cutters and cutting out typography. If we took the Times New Roman font as an example and I wanted to cut out the letter A using a mount cutter...is there a mount cuter that someone would recommend. I know there have been some bad reviews about handheld cutters. The back up option is to use a sharp handheld blade and cut mounts at an angle but I wanted to try to get the angle always the same. you might be better on a picture framing forum, where there will be a large number of mount cutting experts. framersforum used to be pretty good, I havent looked in a while.
