Hi,

This is my first post here, so hello everybody.

After a long break (20 years!) I'm wanting to get back into a little bit of cabinetmaking, have also got a boat to refit. I'm considering buying a Kity Bestcombi 2000, which has enough capacity for my needs at the moment. The only thing that concerns me a little is the motor power of the saw, as I'll need to be cutting a fair amount of Iroko and oak.
Was wondering if it would be possible to swap out the motor for a 2hp unit? Would the saw unit be able to handle the extra torque? Any views on this would be appreciated along with any general feedback on the Bestcombi. I can handle large sheet materials with my DeWalt track saw, which I find to be a fantastic piece of kit, and will invest in a fairly large bad saw as well.
Have had a look around the forum and read the reviews and the Bestcombi seems fairly well liked.

Cheers
Simon
