Hey I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop a Multico K3 chisel from coming lose and spinning, how ever much I tighten the chisel after about a second of the auger spinning it comes lose and starts spinning around the auger. So far it has not come off but as a result of the hazard testing and attempts to rectify the solution have to be done after school hours (I assist in the workshop) which I am somewhat limited in.

I used to have a Multico K3 so might be able to advise.

I can’t remember the construction, but I’d guess it’s either a wrong size collet or maybe the Allen key or bolt you are using to tighten up is bottoming out in the hole.

Ive used various morticer including big Wadkins and they can all be a bit tricky on chisel mounting

Can you post a picture?

when I get back from work, I shall have a bit more time to look into it.
