I have a Clarke belt sander and to help me guide or steady the wood I am sanding I have used a clamp over the belt, is there a more permanent way I can fix a belt stop to this machine?
The clamp works ok but some times slips down on to the belt, this may be a tricky one.
Thanks Reg

I've been at it all day, it is a bit Heath Robinson but it works, I first put a wooden stop at the rear of the sander and screwed this to the bench, I then made 2 sides and joined them across the top with a sturdy bit of wood, this bit rested on the top of the belt, after all was screwed down I switched the sander on .
After it had sanded the top block a bit it ran smoothly, I can slide the machine out to change the belt if need be.
Carry on sanding Reg
