Monkey puzzle wood

We have just had a very large monkey puzzle blow down in the gales. Is anyone interested in any of it. I am going to get it cut into sections but it is very heavy. We are in Chepstow, South Wales .

Commiserations on the loss of your tree, that is a shame :-(

The wood is very soft apparently but I'm sure someone will want some of it as it's not something one gets a chance to use every day!

Advertise it on the Woodturning forum. It is a sought after wood for turning

Is it the Araucaria araucana ( Monkey Puzzle tree) or the more common Norfolk Island Pine Araucaria Hetrophylla . They look similar and here in South Africa everybody thinks they are the same and the name is used interchangeably between all the Araucaria species

We don't tend to see N. I. pines, only Chile pines. Cornwall especially - miners used to bring the seeds home.
