Just a number of things I use my "mobile phone " for. I'm sure that there are 100's of others that are relevant to the individual. True that many
of these will be in the shape of an app(llcation) but the "mobile phone" enables it all.

I wouldn't be lost without it as I'm an old git, but I would certainly miss it.

Now I am semi retired I am too busy living to worry about all that!! When out and about the last thing on my mind is any of that because it is such a bad distraction. I hate text messaging, my fingers to big and predictive text is a joke, if I want IT I will use a good old fashioned Pc with a keyboard and big buttons with a big screen so I don't strain my eyes! Once upon a time when I was involved with producing software for embedded control I might have kept up with newer technology but not any more.
 
my phone is treated as just another tool.......
Now 72 years young and can say hand on heart NEVER played an electronic game of any kind......ever.....
my daughter took my little Nokia off me and said u need a phone with a camera.....1'st I-phone.......
WHAT "B" use is a camera on a phone......dohhhhh.......how right she was....now I'm reminded how wrong I was all the time..........
it should be YOU control the phone not the other way around.....
Havn't seen a new born baby with a phone yet but it's gonna happen I guess......
Remember those SILVER teether's with a little bell to keep em entertained.....
not anymore.......hahaha.......
actaully it'd be a good idea to use a wind up phone when u need to use it.....hahaha...
sorry just getting old.....
oh my fav app is the compass......
