I've got no experience of the Hikoki/Hitachi so I can't comment on it at all.

I've got quite a lot of use into my Metabo KGS254m and a couple of the KGS216m saws which have all been excellent workhorses, they need a little initial set-up to get them cutting perfectly square in both axis but I would assume that's the same with the Hikoki too.
