Hi guys I'm looking for a mitre saw that will go to 60°> I have a kapex but for this use I want to use something less valuable for this work..

I'm only looking for a saw that will do 60° not for advice on how to jig to cut 60 because I know all that.

Cheers

I'm pretty sure that the big Bosch does 60. I'd have to go down to the workshop to make sure, but I think it does. It's in the same financial bracket, though.

Dewalt DW 708
LHS = 50°
RHS = 60°

I dont know if they still make this model, mine must be 15 year's old.

yeah they are both a bit too much, i dont want to spend more than 300 really as its going to get a bit of abuse

the cheaper the better really but maybe a big ask

Mine was bought 2nd hand about 10 years ago for 250€.

Keep an eye on ebay, there is a 110v dw708 on there at the moment......

Cant you just set the saw to 30 and cut the piece back to front?
60 + 30 = 90 and all that. 8)

Yes the big Bosch goes to 60 degrees
Not suitable for the op I know

Pity the Big B doesn't have an indent on 30 degrees; handy for 6 sided stuff

Indent at 31.6 degrees -- no use to me :cry:

Is't 31.6 to cut coving & Crown mouldings:

Rotate the saw clockwise and set the miter angle at 31.6 degrees. Tilt the saw to the left and set the bevel angle at 33.9 degrees, if you haven't already set it. Slide the moulding to the right side of the blade to cut the left-hand piece for an outside corner.

The Bosch GCM 8 SJL 216mm does 60 as well, a bit cheaper at around £275.
