Mitre cuts with a circular saw

how wide mitre cuts are you wanting to make? How many and is it a big batch at a time?

There are cheaper and better ways of doing it than that tool, but they wouldnt use a circular saw.
 
If you are looking at picture framing, then a (decent) (hand) mitre saw would be better, a hand plane and shooting board better still, or a guillotine best of all. The plane and shooting board would be the cheapest option. I dont think you would get tight mitres on a circular saw without getting a decent one, with a decent high tooth blade. Even then, I think that the finish will be poorer than any of the others above.
