I've been given an old bailey 5 1/2 that needs a lot of care and attention (easy), replacement handles (bought from Axminster) and 1 replacement brass nut for holding on said handle...anyone know where I could pick one up from? Axminster don't carry them....

cheers

MP,

couple of years ago I needed a replacement nut for a stanley. Dieter Schmid sent me one free of charge (albeit with a substantiial order).

MP,

I'd be surprised if your Bailey wasn't a Stanley, so the parts should fit.

Bailey did produce his own stuff yonks ago but mostly his name is attached to Stanley stuff he designed.

courtesy of a dealer friend, I have a nice brass spare nut for you.

Just email me your address, and I'll post it.
