It's not Minstrelism per se that is the problem, it is the concomitant rise in MTDs (Musically Transmitted Diseases). Last week I was seduced into putting a quid into the hat of a street Mistrel because I felt sorry for him and the next thing I know I come out in a rash. I'm now on tablets for the treatment of madrigalitis (it can happen to anyone, don't be so judgmental). I just hope it doesn't develop into full-blown Byrd Flu.
