Drillbit (one of the members here) very kindly donated me his old spindle gouge which I received in the post the other day (along with some other goodies! :) ). So the mission for last night was to hollow some end grain with it :). A small inscent stick holder seemed like a good idea.

Using the spindle gouge was a joy compared to scraping out the wood as I did on my egg cup! After I had finished I then drilled a small hole in the bottom of the scooped out bit.

Many thanks drillbit! It was really generous of you to send me all the bits for nothing!
