Nice to see a Model A still working 70 years on but you'da thunk they could have come up with some kind of chute or wedge to move the shingles clear of the teeth.

The american ones are usually sawn with a slight taper, you cant see it but the saw tilts the log alternatively top & bottom so the shingle is cut with a taper.
